Our Story

In the same location for over 35 years J. Seitz is located in a vintage building overlooking a 40 foot waterfall in the charming colonial Village of New Preston, CT. This destination shop is filled with naturally elegant and organic lifestyle offerings.  It is a first stop for many clients as they embark on their home decorating journey.    The shop has over 5,000 square feet of showroom space filled with carefully sourced, sustainable products including upholstery, home decor, women's and men's clothing & accessories, artisan jewelry, apothecary, kids, and gifts.

This family owned emporium continues to attract those who appreciate good design and the shop has long been a magnet for weekenders who own houses here, as well as celebrities, designers and those with an eye for style.  As J.Seitz continues on its journey to bring a carefully edited selection of sustainable goods to their clients, you can be assured you will always be both surprised and delighted at what you discover.
